Latest Updates At GDM - August 2023

We're back with another update to let you know about some of the recent updates that have gone live on the site, all of which aim to make using GDM that little bit better for everyone!

Here's the latest;

The eagle eyed amongst you may have spotted a new section within your user Dashboard area, which relates to redeeming an external purchase. This new feature has been added so that when we run any bundles on sites such as Humble Bundle or Fanatical, the assets included will be redeemed on GameDev Market instead of the platform it was purchased from.

Not only does this mean that anyone who buys the bundles will now be able to access any updates to assets directly through their account, as well as get direct access to our support, but it also means an influx of new members on GDM each time a bundle goes out.

So keep an eye out for our next bundle!

We've made the wishlists much more useful for you!

Now, instead of it just being a collection of assets you like, which you need to individually click through to when you want to buy them, you've got the option to add each separate item on your wishlist to your cart, if you want to buy everything on a specific wishlist, you can use the 'Add all to cart' option.

We've had an increased number of spam sign ups on the site, who have been creating their account with the sole purpose of including a backlink to a completely non game dev related website, so we've had to implement a change to combat this.

From now on, in order for any new sign up to include a link in their bio or to
use the Website field of their profile, they need to have either spent at least $5 on the store or have had an asset listing accepted.

Since implementing this, we've already seen a huge drop in the number of spam sign ups on the store!

We've added a new price range slider as a filter option within product category pages, making it even easier to find assets exactly within your budget for your next project.     

These are the main member facing changes that have gone live recently, though there's also been numerous behind the scenes improvements, as well as other smaller tweaks made to the site.
