With the festive season well and truly behind us, we're back with info on the main changes we've made to the site to improve the user experience of all GDM members.
The main focus of this batch of updates has been around giving more control to sellers over their individual store page, but we've also got plenty more improvements in the pipeline as we look to hit 2024 head on!
Seller Promotions
We normally hold a few site wide discounts each year on GDM, but now asset creators can be in control of their own sales, as we have added in Seller Promotions as an option for anyone with live assets on the site.
Promotions can either be published to include all listed assets or specific assets can be selected to include in the discount, which can run for up to 14 days and can be set with a discount from 5-70%, in 5% increments.
Setting up a new promotion couldn't be easier, we've added the below 'Start a Promotion' button to the Dashboard page, which opens up a modal with all of the steps to get a sale started.
Another option we've added for sellers to help promote their top assets is the Featured Product function, which allows one asset to be selected to appear prominently at the top of the store page.
image.png16.82 KB We've added a 'Set as Featured' option next to each asset in the seller Inventory list, so once an asset is selected it will then appear like the one we have mocked up below for FinalBossBlues.
There can only be one Featured Product per seller, but the Featured Product can be changed at any time by just selecting another asset to take it's place or can be removed as a Featured Product completely from the Inventory page.
Customisable Store Banner
Seller store pages can now have a more personal touch added, with the introduction of custom store banners.
image.png507.65 KB Whether it is used to promote specific assets, give an overview of a bunch of listed assets or just to tie the page header into the seller's own branding, it's now easy to do from the Edit Profile section of the user Dashboard.
We've added an extra tab onto asset pages to give an overview of the key licence details, meaning potential buyers can now get a clearer idea of what they can/can't do with assets without needing to leave the asset page.
