Latest Updates at GDM - March 2024

We've two new exciting updates to mention this time around and we think they're both going to prove to be popular, with one being focused on another new option for asset creators and the other an addition for buyers.

First off, let's take a look at a shiny new toy for sellers to get their hands on...

Hot on the heels of the batch of seller updates that were announced in January, we've got another new option to help with promotion even more...

Seller created bundles are now live on the store!

So, let's take more of a look...

The eagle-eyed visitors to the site may have already spotted that the Asset Bundles category is now split into a two-option dropdown menu - one for GDM Created Bundles and one for Seller Created Bundles, but how can asset creators get their bundle set up?

It couldn't be any easier, to get started there's a new Create a Bundle option available within the Inventory section of the Member Dashboard

Once the Create a Bundle option has been selected, the next window gives all of the options for getting a bundle created, with a couple of additional pointers detailed below;

- Bundle Price:  Seller Bundles are not based on a % discount, instead the asset creator just sets the actual price they want to list the bundle for, with only whole numbers being allowed.

For any assets included in a bundle that have a max discount percentage, this will be overridden by the bundle price that is set. 

- End Date: this is an optional field, if a seller wants to run a short term bundle they can set an end date and the bundle will finish at 11:59pm (UTC) on that date, if the field is left empty then it will be an ongoing bundle until it is stopped manually.

Please note that as Seller Bundles will be manually reviewed by the team, it is recommended to set an end date at least 5 days in the future to allow for review time.

- Asset Selection - Seller Bundles can include up to 25 assets and for anyone with less than 25 assets listed, there is a select all option, though there's also a search field available to find specific assets to include.

The Create Bundle option will then send the bundle through to the GDM team to review and (hopefully) get published for people to snap up a great deal.

For buyers, we've added a popular promotion back in to the site for people who are putting larger orders through.

The cart totals for the promotions don't include any VAT that is added for EU customers and the subsequent discount codes are not valid for use on items that are already on sale or anything within the Asset Bundles categories.

It's a great way for asset buyers to be able to build up their collection of assets to use in current and/or future projects.
