Developer, Asset Creator or are you a bit of both?: Asset creator
Full Time, Part Time or Hobby?:
We were doing it part-time in 2016 as we had a full-time job. But in Nov 2017, we left our full-time job and started focusing on asset creation as we saw potential in this business. (Plus, it is fun!)
How long have you been doing this?:
4 years ?
What made you become a dev/artist?:
We grew up playing video games and always loved the music in games so it was a dream to create music and sound for games.
Favourite software/tools to use?: Logic Pro (Music) and Pro Tools (Sound Effects)
What’s one tip you would give to someone starting out?:
I would say to do lots of research on your competitors and see how you do things better or bring something new to the table!
How do you promote your work (games or assets)?:
We promote our work by putting in the effort on the art to make each of our audio packs look good, even though we are selling music. We also post short demo videos of our audio packs on YouTube and upload our tracks to Soundcloud to get more exposure online. Recently we started creating tutorial videos or blogpost for our audio packs and showcase interesting behind the scenes footage on our social media.
What project are you working on now?:
We are always writing new music so that we can release a new audio pack every month. But recently we had the opportunity to work on this game call Ghost of Dragon by Meta Interaction. We just wrote 7 music for them and are in the midst of creating sound effects.
Any completed projects/work you want to promote?:
Ghost of Dragon – It’s still under development but we are really excited to see it’s release in a few months!
And finally, favourite game ever & why?:
Legend of Mana because we absolutely love the music, the art, and the gameplay of the game!! Everything is just so beautiful…
