Eric Jeffrey Tan (EJ) is a music composer and sound designer based in Canada. He has a diverse range of skillsets for any audio needs from music composition to recording foley to post-production editing for any project from short films to video games. EJ has been classically trained (Voice, Piano, Percussion) and self-taught (Guitar, Electric Bass, Drums) to cohesively bring a world of different sounds and influences into his music. Growing up he was heavily influenced by the music of the ‘Golden Age’ of Japanese RPG music composers from Nobuo Uematsu and Koji Kondo and even more inspired by the modern day ones like Yoko Shimomura and Masashi Hamauzu and many more. Together he brings his own unique sound - blending acoustic and electronic elements with orchestral arrangements to help bring picture, writing, and sound together.
